π Why this matters:
Before uploading your logbook for marking, both you and your mentor must sign the document. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader is the easiest and safest way to do this electronically.
β Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open your logbook
- Download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) from https://get.adobe.com/reader.
- Open your saved logbook PDF in Acrobat Reader.
2. Select the Drawing Tool (not the Signature Tool)
- Choose the pen icon ποΈ (Draw).
- Use your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen to draw your signature.
β This keeps your logbook editable.
β οΈ Do not use βAdd Signature.β
The signature tool might lock the file and prevent you adjusting later.
3. Save a copy and share it with your mentor
- Ask your mentor to repeat the same steps using the Drawing Tool.
β οΈ Important: Both the student and mentor signatures must be full handwritten signatures, not typed or digital stamps.
4. Save and check your file
- Re-open the file to ensure all signatures are visible and correctly placed.
5. Upload to your LMS
- Navigate to the Logbook section.
- Click Add submission β Upload this file β Save changes β Submit assignment.
π‘ Helpful Tips
- Always keep an unsigned backup copy of your logbook before adding signatures.
- Both the student and mentor signatures must be present before submission.
